Being a treasure hunter can put you in some very dangerous situations. You went inside this pyramid to find the treasure of the great pharaoh. But there was no treasure, all you found was a magic ankh. Instead of treasure there were lots of mummies who were unhappy they you invaded their pyramid. So now you have to escape from the pyramid and get rid of the mummies. The ankh allows you to dig holes in the sand, catch the mummies in those holes. Also collect all the emeralds to open the gate and escape.
